Not many people get shortlisted for the Guild of Food Writers Restaurant Reviewer of the Year prize.
I was lucky enough to come second the first ever time I entered, back in 2010.
Unfortunately the entry criteria were then rather swiftly changed so that I couldn’t enter in 2011.
Only entries that had appeared in print were allowed and mine appeared only on www.foodepedia.co.uk
I think online is an equally valid medium and one day may be the only one.
But I’m still happy to write for print when asked.
